Diatomaceous Earth - never heard of it? Well, neither had I up until a few months ago. It is slowly trickling in to mainstream health circles but I suspect it will explode soon. Diatomaceous earth or DE for short is made from tiny fossilized remains of marine phytoplankton (water plants). These deposits of diatoms are found near dried up bodies of water. The diatoms are mined and ground up to become a powder. The powder is soft, chalky and rich in silica. DE is all natural and quite remarkable!
