The deodorant debate. It has been trending in natural health circles for so long, it's almost saturated. 10 years ago, you would have only found 'green, vegan hipsters' using natural deodorant. Now, it has crossed over into the mainstream. People are conscious and aware of how we care for ourselves now more than ever. Yet, it continues to surprise me how many people are not willing to make the switch. Even with all the proof, articles, evidence and knowledge, there are those brand sticklers - those who trust that the deodorant they use is safe for their body. If you have not switched to natural deodorant, NOW is the time.

Diatomaceous Earth - never heard of it? Well, neither had I up until a few months ago. It is slowly trickling in to mainstream health circles but I suspect it will explode soon. Diatomaceous earth or DE for short is made from tiny fossilized remains of marine phytoplankton (water plants). These deposits of diatoms are found near dried up bodies of water. The diatoms are mined and ground up to become a powder. The powder is soft, chalky and rich in silica. DE is all natural and quite remarkable!

If I could drink coffee all day long and into the wee hours of the night without feeling like a jittery spaz - I totally would. Increasing in popularity is the OTC use of melatonin supplements. Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone produced by our pituitary gland that helps regulate sleep and wake cycles. Parents hoping to help their children fall into a deep sleep may have been advised to turn to melatonin as a natural solution to help kids.
